Mother Celestine K. Hall

In Loving Memory of the Life and Legacy of our Beloved Mother Celestine Knox Hall, a true Mother in Zion, the Mother of Living Word Christian Center, and a Matriarch in the Body of Christ who has been received into the eternal presence of God our Father.

To our Living Word Christian Center Kingdom Covenant Family, Mother Hall leaves, among so many lasting deposits, an extremely rich legacy of GREATNESS and EXCELLENCE, as one who was the epitome of an honorable Servant Leader with a covenant heart.

Mother Hall gave birth to an exceptionally great visionary leader, Bishop Levy H. Knox. When she embraced the vision of God in his heart to pioneer a teaching center founded upon the Word of God, it was like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when this great woman hath found, she hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that she hath, and buyeth that field; as one seeking goodly pearls who, when she had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that she had, and bought it.

Not only did she give birth to our visionary leader, but with great pangs she nurtured, protected, and incubated the vision, which would later translate into the Kingdom of God being communicated and demonstrated into every sphere of life and cause thousands of sons and daughters to be birthed in the Kingdom of God.

Mother Hall was dedicated to the vision of this house and her efforts have brought forth much fruit and notable contributions well over three decades. There is no corridor, no department, no facet of this ministry where her influence, generosity, and labor of love is not felt.

Mere words can never utter what has been recorded in the chronicles of Living Word Christian Center of the EXTRAORDINARY LIFE of Mother Celestine K. Hall, who is the cornerstone of this house, and who has successfully and joyfully fulfilled the call of God upon her life in her generation. She was a CHAMPION of causes, a mother to the motherless, and the embodiment of the vision of Living Word Christian Center fulfilling a vision of hope, causing an eternal impact on the destiny of our generation and the generations to come.

TRIBUTE OF HONOR

It is with the deepest sense of honor, love, and respect to write this tribute in honor of one of God’s choicest servants in the Kingdom, PASTOR LESTER W. BELL, SR., of New Beginning Christian Church in Creola, AL.

It has been stated that the mark of a true leader is not how he leads but rather how those that follow him view him as he leads. Those who have followed this great visionary leader and who have been covered, protected, and empowered by his ministry, can all testify to the reality that they would not be who they are without his leadership in their lives.

He was affectionately known as “a man after God’s own heart” – a servant leader of covenant, integrity, love, and honor. In a world that is filled with confusion and distrust that is the result of broken promises and broken covenants, how refreshing to have known such a man of God who demonstrated a life that you could genuinely trust.

He was an extraordinary leader because he was an extraordinary follower. He followed Christ and His designated authority in the earth and thereby was equipped to lead anywhere, anytime, and anyone. A man of great renown and that is because he remained small in his own eyes. But make no mistake, he was large in our eyes! One who carried himself with the greatest dignity and honor while providing dignity and honor to all those who had been robbed of it. He was a true Kingdom leader.

Pastor Bell possessed the spirit of a Joshua and Caleb. When others saw “giants and walled cities” he remembered the promises of God. When others were satisfied with “wilderness living” he believed that the “Land of Promise” was ours for the possessing. He demonstrated that the highest form of obedience was worship and obedience to God’s Word as a source of our courage.

Pastor Bell, being a visionary leader, envisioned a succession plan to facilitate the continued growth and success of the New Beginning Christian Church by grooming, nurturing, and mentoring his son, Lester W. Bell, Jr., who is dedicated to continuing his father’s legacy. Pastor Bell’s leadership will be greatly missed but more than that, his friendship, wisdom, loyalty, and relentless determination to see God’s Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

I am so humbled to have witnessed a portion of Pastor Bell’s life journey over the years and serving as a vital part of Kingdom Network of Churches International. I am even more humbled that God for His own purpose placed us in each other’s lives for His Kingdom. My heart, prayer, and support are with Lady Agnes, Dana, Kyla, Miya, Lester Jr., and New Beginning Christian Church as you move forward into the next stage of your Kingdom destiny in continuing your rich Kingdom legacy and vision of Pastor Lester Bell, Sr.

And today, I salute this great Kingdom Visionary Leader: my covenant brother, faithful friend, and loving spiritual son. We honor and love this outstanding Kingdom man of God, PASTOR LESTER W. BELL, SR. Your legacy continues…

In Celebration of Life,

A Man of Service

One of our very own KNCI Pastors, Jim McGinnis, ran a stellar campaign for the office of Mayor of North Tonawanda, NY, characterized by integrity, dignity, and honor. Pastor McGinnis is truly a man of Kingdom excellence and service, having a passion for Christ and a compassion for people. We salute this Ambassador of the Kingdom as he moves into the next stage of his purpose and destiny. The people of North Tonawanda will never be the same again!

I share with you a well stated reflection by his wife, Enid McGinnis:

“For the last 14 years I’ve watched and stood by my husband Jim McGinnis as he gave his all to serve. He served God, our home, the church, the people, communities, and cities. I’ve seen people and cities be restored and relationships be built as a result of it.

It was no surprise to many that he decided to run for mayor. Because he has always been a man of service and has always done it with such God-given style and integrity. In our eyes he was always the mayor. We called him “get it done Mayor McGinnis!”

For the last 6 months I’ve watched my husband give his all to publicly serve the city he loves so much, his city, North Tonawanda. I’ve seen NT people bring their concerns and watched him bring their concerns to the forefront. I watched how city hall has scrambled to meet those concerns. And all I could say was “Jim McGinnis you are running the city without the title of mayor or without sitting behind a desk!” Wherever we went many NT residents assumed he was the mayor! All I could say was, “He’s not mayor yet! We need your vote!”

This morning I wake up knowing while he was not voted as mayor of NT he will continue to serve. Why? Because he’s a man of service! When I thought he would finally settle down, I watched a man raise from battling cancer and go back to serving!!! He runs without stopping! That’s amazing!!!

It has been exciting watching and standing by such passion!!!! We fought a great and exciting campaign to say the least, with great people who have also stood by him and believed because they’ve also seen his service. It went beyond extreme makeover, beyond being a committee member, beyond a voice for the people! It was extreme service with passion! He served the people, all people! I have no doubt he will continue to serve the people, serve the communities, serve the church, serve our home and of course serve God! That’s what I love about Jim McGinnis! I can’t thank all the people enough that stood by him. TODAY, I CONTINUE TO STAND PROUD BESIDE JIM MCGINNIS WITH NO REGRETS!!!!”

Kingdom Mandate

Upon the horizon, a new day has dawned.  A new era has begun.  Unquestionably, at LWCC, we are experiencing a fresh, new move of the Spirit of God.  The breath of the Holy Spirit of God is removing from us all man-made religion that has obscured our vision, and He’s giving us eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the Church.

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”  (Mark 1:14,15).  There has been a hollow awareness of something missing in the body of Christ.  This missing link is at the very core of our walk with God.  We have dealt extensively on the good news of salvation, healing, deliverance, prosperity, and all those beautiful dimensions of the Spirit, but have neglected to take a closer look at what Jesus said is “at hand.”  It is the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

One of the most important truths for us to understand as believers is the message of the KINGDOM.  Open the Bible almost anywhere and you will find references to the Kingdom of God.  Jesus mentions the “Kingdom of Heaven” twenty-eight different times in the four gospels and uses the expression “Kingdom of God” seventy-three times.  These two terms together are used over one hundred times in the gospels!  Jesus said, “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.” (Matt. 6:33). He taught His disciples to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.” (Matt 6:10). After His resurrection, Jesus presented Himself alive with many infallible proofs, “appearing to them over a period of forty days, and speaking of the things concerning the Kingdom of God.” (Acts 1:3). The subject of the Kingdom of God was important enough that Jesus said we should seek it first and pray for its coming.

The Kingdom of God is a major theme throughout the Bible.  Jesus began His earthly ministry proclaiming the arrival of the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matt. 4:17). During His final days before His ascension, He taught concerning the Kingdom of God.  The Early Church taught and preached from a Kingdom perspective.  In fact, we are commissioned to preach the gospel of the Kingdom in all the world before the end comes. (Matt. 24:14).

Jesus Christ came into this world to establish His Kingdom and not a religion.  His Church is His governmental body on earth and is called to have dominion over all the works of His hands.  Religion has robbed the Church of Her divine authority and dominion, causing Her to forsake Her former positions of influence.  For many, church goes on as usual with the same predicable normalcy each week.  In such, we may be attempting to keep alive the old creation and paradigm of church from our former chaotic thinking.  Our concepts are being lovingly challenged as to what the Church is and what it is not.

All patterns for life on earth and every part of the relevant functionality of Kingdom focus and purpose is simply translated into the Kingdom of God – His will being done in earth as it is in heaven. At LWCC, we have a Kingdom Mandate to be a visible  demonstration of the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, where Kingdom truths, values, principles, priorities, and ethics are not only taught, but embraced, believed, and initiated in life every day.

I believe the Spirit of God is summoning God’s people to be united in faith and bring Kingdom transformation in today’s culture and in the marketplace; invading the power centers of our nation and restoring righteousness and justice, that the blessings of God may once again be upon our land.  We must forge ahead in our Kingdom mandate and authority to seize the promise for our generation and to transfer this core Kingdom dynamic into emerging sons and daughters that shall thunder this message of the Kingdom with rumblings of Kingdom reformation through transformation.

God has given us His grace to disciple whole nations, regions, cities, and communities through the governance administration of the Kingdom. This sets in motion God’s Kingdom systems, operations, strategies, and logistics in life that is assuredly the Kingdom of God.

Therefore, we need a transitioning in our mentalities as to the true meaning of our core purpose in the earth and clear understanding of the substance of the Incarnate Christ, to walk out this very life-giving and life-changing nature. Jesus’ teachings were infused with purpose and plans.  He did not come to simply talk about the Father, but to reveal Him. (Jn. 14:7,9,10). And the Church is not simply here to talk about Christ, but to reveal Him.  Simply put: IT IS KNOWING HIM AND MAKING HIM KNOWN.

The journey must first happen within.  It is not an easy journey or one that usually ends with fame or accolades, but is a journey every person must take if they want to change the world.  The witness of the Kingdom of God is our mandate.  At a critical time for all people around the world, as darkness covers the earth in political and economic tyranny, God is saying to His Church, arise and shine for your light is come.  The Church is heading into its finest hour. Unfamiliar virgin territory beckons those who will be led by the Spirit and walk in the newness of Kingdom life.

There is a sound as a rushing, mighty wind blowing over those who yearn to know what the Spirit is saying to the Church.  This invisible work of the Holy Spirit will usher a people who will experience His Person, His Presence, and His Power in a dimension unknown to mankind.  A remnant awakens, passivity is gone, fire burning in their hearts, and their eyes have come open to the Kingdom of God within their sight.   They know the weapon of praise in the heat of the battle. Their arms are raised with a shout unto God with a voice of triumph!  They are a new breed, a generation of God’s Kingdom citizens.  They are united, marching in rank, and pressing forward.  It is a generation that will carry the prize, that knows the victory is won, and that will declare the good news that the Kingdom of God has arrived!

2017: The Year of Divine Intervention and Increase!

Glory to God! 2017, “The Year of Divine Intervention and Increase”, is underway and we are geared up to make it the Best Year Ever!  We have been given a fresh start and a brand-new year, 365 days to grow and develop in the spiritual awareness of Christ within and among us all; and to further the Lord’s Kingdom purpose throughout the earth.  I’m so excited about what the Lord has been speaking to me in this new year.   Living Word Christian Center is not just another church. It is a Christ-centered, biblically sound, transformative Kingdom Covenant Community where you discover your true identity, purpose, and divine destiny in Christ Jesus. A place where the Word of God comes alive!

In 2016 the Lord gave the word “The Year of the Extraordinary” and we continue to experience extraordinary things taking place in our midst.  Today is the beginning of something great. Today you’re invited to cast off whatever is holding you back from living the life you are meant to live, according to the good plans God has for you. You are created and designed by God with a purpose in mind. With your gifts, talents, dreams: just one can change the world. One idea ignited by a fire. Just one answer, one decision, one strategy, one solution can shape your thinking and cause you to win, today. Consider that you are not here by happenstance or coincidence. You are here by design, and appointed by God. Consider you are at the very place that you’re supposed to be this exact moment, because God is in the process of ordering your steps for the best days of your life!

There’s a moment in every life when the opportunity appears to leap from the ordinary to the extraordinary. From the average to the epic. From the normal to the iconic. Our window of opportunity has arrived. Our moment is NOW!

Will you have the grit, the guts, and the glory to seize it? Not only for the benefit of yourself and all who count on you, but for the entire world that demands that you bring on your  A-game for the rest of us. I believe we all have a call on our lives to make the world better. You have remarkable genius, courage, power, and greatness within you that longs to see the light of day. So, make: No excuses. No escapes. No postponement. But make the decision to make 2017 our best year yet.

Here are some words that I heard in the beginning of this year in what to expect in 2017:

1) Massive changes.

2) New things will arise quickly.

3) Time of acceleration.

4) A rising of a new generation of young people that will be used to bring about a new move of God in the earth.

5) A new wave of glory manifested with signs, wonders, and miracles.

6) The knowledge of the glory of the Lord will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea.

7) Light and darkness will be manifested simultaneously; while it will be darkness over a people, there will be light upon God’s people.

8) Experience God’s divine presence, power, protection, and provision in a greater way.

9) Perfecting, completing, and new beginning.

10) Kingdom increase.

11) Complete victory.

12) Supernatural intervention of God manifesting in the natural affairs of men.

We live in a time of dramatic change: so much disruption, so much complexity, and too much uncertainty. For the timid, this year will be a challenging year. But for the bold, this will be an awesome year. A year to shatter all fears. A year to create explosive confidence. A year to do Kingdom world class ministry. A year to create like Picasso. A year to extend the Kingdom, exhibit the power, and experience the glory of God like never before!

My respectful challenge to you, LWCC Family, right now at the beginning of this year, that has potential to be epic and monumental, is that we take this opportunity to rethink and rewire the way we show up in the world, stay connected in the Kingdom Covenant Community, influence the culture, and impact the next generation.  This is our time!

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:” Gen 26:12-13, KJV

“The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.”  Ps 115:14, KJV
