The Kingdom…Our Mission From God

While many Christians are beginning to walk in the revelation of the Kingdom of God, others remain unfamiliar with its operation, expression, and function in the life of the believer. By definition, the word “Kingdom” refers to “the reign, realm and rule of God over all His creation, including the universe and all living being.”

God as Creator formed the heavens and the earth, and God, as King, has full power and authority to rule over it. In like manner, He has delegated that same power and authority to His people, the Church, and He has commissioned us to govern the earth on His behalf. Therefore, God’s Kingdom must be embraced, expressed, and then released by believers into the region in which they are called.

Our mission is one in which the Church engages, influences and governs the culture around it. We have come to the understanding that the Kingdom Covenant Community is a place where the King is the center. As His citizens interact with Him, the King of kings, they go out and demonstrate His Kingdom in their sphere of culture. We have taught the Body of Christ that in every arena of culture – our homes, our schools, our businesses, civil government, the medical field, science, media and the entertainment industry – the Church has the power, the authority, and the right to change and influence it for the glory of God!

We embrace the Lord’s model prayer as our declaration to the world, “Let your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Simply stated, this means that everything on earth must line up with the culture of heaven. In heaven there is no sickness, no disease, no poverty, and no oppression; therefore, on earth there should be none as well. In heaven the King of kings and the Lord of lords is Sovereign and Supreme over all; therefore, on earth He should be Sovereign and Supreme as well. Every nation, every tribe and every tongue should be bowing down and proclaiming that He is Lord. Every man, every woman, and every child should acknowledge and accept His Lordship over all. Not one person should perish, but all should have eternal life, and all should learn how to walk in eternal life on earth as it is in heaven.

My sincerest desire is that all would embrace the Kingdom of God and learn to function in it as a part of their calling and destiny as kings and priests upon the earth. We are on a mission from God. You and I were sent to this earth to rule and reign on Christ’s behalf as ambassadors of the Kingdom, going out into the world to spread the Word and model the truths of God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Let your Kingdom come Lord, through our lives!
